Im really waiting for the 4d chess move but if there is one it will take a while to see it. Maybe he really is trying to go all out with a conservative free speech social network? But even Fox News has to offer some level of brand safety and has had to fire people because of loss of advertisers, on top of which I don’t think the news division has as much revenue as twitter.

I read somewhere that a leveraged buy out (which the twitter purchase is) where the company takes on a lot of debt, mainly succeed when they slash costs and new development and increase profits from existing revenue streams. Twitter is doing the cost slashing, but being a free speech social network will reduce the revenue from advertising, adding features will add to costs. Maybe he has some magic bunny to pull out of the hat - but its very well hidden.
