- solardev 4y agoHe's definitely both, but neither was a dealbreaker for me. He's quite immature but they doesn't really bother me. Mistreating his employees does though.
- suroori 4y agoHow dare you criticize him? Have you achieved what he did in your life?
- zingimungu 4y agoWhat's the problem with criticizing him? We don't have to achieve anything to do that. We can see what he does wrong and object to that regardless of our status or achievements. This is a poor argument from you.
- xerxesaa 4y agoTo be fair, I think the commentor was being sarcastic.
- gremlinsinc 4y agoI formed a man crush w/ the BFR, etc and the mars video surfacing around 2016... Since then I've slowly, then faster begun to hate the man, like a seething hatred for all he stands for he's smug, narcissistic, and just an exploiter of people. I've also learned more about his back story, etc (where his wealth really came from - mines in S. Africa). Personally, I think Twitter employees need to form a union and do it TODAY.
- solardev 4y agoYeah, I used to idolize Musk when I was younger -- especially in contrast to the likes of Bezos and Zuckerberg. Musk seemed the eccentric genius the world needed, funneling money towards important but neglected causes. Sure, he was weird and kooky and an absolute narcissist, but whatever, minds are just different and maybe it took one like his to actually execute those grand visions. But then the celebrity status started to change him more and more. Twitter turned him into an alt-Trump-lite figure, more and more obsessed with his personal image instead of his causes. The pedo scandal was a wtf moment, and then his bizarre forays into the crypto-hellscape made it seem like he cliffdove right into the deep end. Overnight, "mad scientist" turned into "media freakshow", like the techbro version of Paris Hilton. Today he still deserves a mountain of credit for Tesla, SpaceX, and Starlink -- there's no denying he jumpstarted not one but three important industries -- but man, if he's going to start playing ruthless finance games with random people's lives just satiate his ego... eh, no thanks. I was really looking forward to both a Tesla and a Starlink someday, but not so much anymore =/ Hopefully some of those technologies will trickle-down to other, more mundane companies. I can live with a little less innovation and bleeding-edge if that means people get treated better.
- dekhn 4y agoBezos is brilliant compared to both Musk and Zuckerberg. He understands long games and how to exploit workers effectively.
