How will we remember the age of cheap money?

- rektide 4y agoeverything is getting shitty everywhere. it so happens that the fed made money free at the most prosperous growth-ful expandingly-globalizing time of likely/perhaps all human history. we will never decouple the monetary policy from the fact that it was the time of radically expanding growth anyways.
- codefreeordie 4y agoWe will most likely remember it just like we will remember the rest of the prosperous time of the last several decades. Folks who didn't live through prosperity will never really believe that things were as good as they were. Even many who did love through it will have their memories altered by the media blast messaging about how life was never really that good anyway. Just like every societal decline throughout history. In millennia, anthropologists will wonder what our primitive society was like at its peak.
- imtringued 4y agoIt will come back in less than ten years unless we start world war three to reset the board game. Also that wasn't "cheap" money it was "expensive" money that has to be endlessly replicated because there is never enough of it.
