Whenever self-driving cars comes up in conversation it's like, "we're spending billions of dollars on self-driving cars tech, but what if we just, idk, had rails instead of roads". We're putting all the complexity on the self-driving tech, but it seems pretty clear that if we helped a little on the other end (made driving easier for computers), everything would get better a lot faster.
