Tax the the rich to give more to the richest man in the world. Good strategy.
- bpodgursky 4y agoIf you believe that will be the outcome, it sounds like an opportunity for you to buy $TSLA.
- datalopers 4y agoThat's already been the literal outcome over the past decade. Tesla's profit comes from two places: 1) government subsidies and 2) selling ZEV credits

- s3r3nity 4y agoAt the federal level they instead opted to side with union special interests, and therefore instead give those subsidies to union shops like Ford. Therefore it's likely Tesla wouldn't benefit as much as you might suspect...but either way it still is corrupt.
- enragedcacti 4y agoThere are no unionization requirements in the EV credit as passed, only requirements about how much of various components of the vehicle are manufactured in the US. This was still a win for US union workers against foreign manufacturers but Tesla has just as much of an opportunity to benefit as Ford or GM.
