As someone who is only minimally familiar with the front end space, when would it be worth while using a framework like this? I almost always go the MPA route

As someone who is only minimally familiar with the front end space, when would it be worth while using a framework like this? I almost always go the MPA route with a backend framework like Django and bundle my frontend stuff with Webpack. Am I missing out on anything important by not learning React/jsx?
