China Hails Elon Musk’s Proposal for Taiwan Unification
- LeoPanthera 4y agoFrom the man who wanted to end the Ukrainian war by simply giving the annexed regions to Russia. Is sedition still a crime?
- stevefan1999 4y agoYes, and it's called appeasement. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Appeasement?wprov=sfla1 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Appeasement?wprov=sfla1
- duskwuff 4y agoBoth this and his previous Ukraine proposal are excellent examples of the dead cat strategy [1] in action. It seems pretty apparent to me that Musk is trying to draw media attention away from another story involving him. The most likely candidate is the upcoming Twitter trial. - superchroma 4y agoAlso it pleases the Chinese which suits him, given he has a company there, I suppose. As always, he plays all sides. If he didn't have an inspiring side-gig in SpaceX and a credit for kicking off the electric car market, he would just be a monster. There is little that I find endearing about his day-to-day behavior. I find myself idly wondering about how much those achievements should tip the scales of how we judge a man.
- ksaj 4y agoAfter his "BLM is a scam" and anti-Semitic Instagram posts, Elon was Kanye's welcome wagon when he returned (temporarily) to Twitter. There are so few redeeming factors. He buys awesome companies to call his own. That's about it.
