Edward Snowden receives Russian citizenship
- strangattractor 4y agoGood timing. He can now be drafted:)
- f1shy 4y agoExactly what was in my mind... perfect age to serve.
- strangattractor 4y agoHe may have a different opinion about gov't secrets after this - such as where troops are located, how many and what type of weapons they have.
- anm89 4y agoPretty sad that getting citizenship in a fascist dictatorship to avoid a life prison sentence is the best option we can offer one of our most intelligent and conscientious citizens

- JoeAltmaier 4y agoSo, now does he infiltrate Russian government and release secret documents of theirs? That would be a reasonable expectation...they may regret this move.
- 1970-01-01 4y agoHe's a citizen, not a KGB contractor.
- 1970-01-01 4y ago>Snowden’s acceptance of Russian citizenship is likely to drive more criticism against him from people who say he has remained silent on issues such as the conflict in Ukraine. His options are dying of defenestration, remaining silent, or surrendering to the US. He's going to stay silent.
- detaro 4y ago> surrendering to the US That probably would be difficult right now, and very possibly has been difficult for a while.
