The focus on cursive seems to be very American.
I really don’t understand why people think that joined up writing isn’t useful any more. Don’t people note things down and want to do it faster that writing out each letter separately?
- IshKebab 4y agoI might be wrong about this but I think cursive is a very specific style in America, whereas in the UK "joined up writing" is less restrictive. Maybe that's why they make such a big deal about it. Probably why it has such a clumsy childish name here too - nobody talks about it as an adult because it's just "handwriting".
