The C602 has two systems (the master controller and the UI controller) that talk over a serial line. Kytch's device, apparently, sits in the middle of that stream and can also inject commands to the controller to query things, change settings, etc - all the things to get the machine running again. Which makes it kind of funny that Kytch is accusing Taylor of reverse engineering their device. Taylor wrote the protocol, so what would they need Kytch's device for? This is bizarre.
