The wires are usually the first thing to go out for me too. Have you considered buying a pair of headphones with detachable cable?
- ilaksh 4y agoDidn't know that existed, thanks for the idea. Will see if I get tired of the cheapos. They sound great to me though.
- gigaflop 4y agoV-Moda is a bit pricey, but I've had my Crossfade LP headphones for somewhere between 6 to 8 years. The cable is standard 3.5mm, detachable from the body of the headphones. They also have a few accessories like a detachable cable with a mic on an arm, which I used for a while until I got a desktop mic. The carry case that came with the cans is also very nice.
- Ekaros 4y agoJust make sure it is standard cable. And not something slightly different. Not that I also haven't had bad experience with general quality of headphones. That is other parts just breaking with only slightly careless use. Thankfully the wireless Pioneers I bought seem to have lasted with Boses I alternate with.
