Ask HN: Can I delete all my Internet data?
What would it take for one individual to remove all its activity from the web? (everything connected to him)
Supposing the individual has many website accounts , many IP addresses logged and content cached.
- tacostakohashi 4y agoNo.
- logicalmonster 4y ago> What would it take for one individual to remove all its activity from the web? 1000 tons of enriched uranium
- frozencell 4y agoWe have. What do we need now?
- dimensionc132 4y agoNo. It is now part of the permanent record. Nothing ever gets deleted. Even if you delete your accounts, photos etc, there will be a copy of a copy of copy somewhere on some server or some company has bought your data. Actions have consequences.
