- salt-thrower 4y agoI'm not saying this is a cult, but the Scientology office in my city has a sign out front advertising the same vague benefits that this website claims to offer.
- thisiswater 4y agoDid the survey out of curiosity, seemed moderately accurate and provided some common sense strategies for improving aspects of psychological health through direct action, habits and techniques. Not sure why AI has to be involved, it's a pretty simple set of rating scales which tailors some sensible, straightforward advice. That being said, am I missing some more sinister or cultish angle? Is there something sinister in the click-throughs that I'm missing? I'd agree that Scientology seems to do this - start with common sense and somewhat effective therapy, transition into cult.
- salt-thrower 4y agoThat's the crux of it. I was mostly just making a joke that the marketing copy on their main page sounds cultish because of its vague appeals to high minded ideals and trendy tech buzzwords like AI. That's all though. I don't know anything about the company beyond their landing page.
- jimmygrapes 4y ago> Low score: You lack a sense of direciton; have difficulties in having your opinions challenged; fear change; cannot frame your past and future as a single narrative. I did not score low on this but I am deeply offended by the typo.
- donkarma 4y agocan you say buzzword?
- Andy_G11 4y agoIt makes sense that machine learning would be applied to personality types to correlate them against things like financial performance, level or field of education, personal health, etc. Here is one example of a data gathering exercise carried out by Myers-Briggs and Goldman Sachs: https://www.themyersbriggs.com/en-US/Connect-with-us/Blog/2021/January/Financial-Personality-Quiz https://www.themyersbriggs.com/en-US/Connect-with-us/Blog/20.... The FutureSelf AI seems to take this a step further, to assisting people who sign up to the service with suggestions (presumably exercises to develop specific mindsets, or adjust their psychological state?) that will help them progress to an overall happier state. As a tool, it is possibly of some use, depending on how much effort one puts into it - perhaps not too different to buying a course or a book on NLP. Those who get the benefit of it will no doubt swear by it and encourage others to adopt it, too - people are very keen on anything which can augment the level of their physical, mental or psychological performance.
