Is my memory mistaken but I thought that originally the N2 was suppose to be released this year. And because it wasn't, and instead pushed to next year, it disrupted Apples plans with the M2.
But looking at timeline, it says N2 isn't available now until 2025.
Is my memory wrong that N2 was suppose to be 2022, then pushed to 2023?

- Tuna-Fish 4y agoEverything about your recollection is close to correct if you subsitute N3 for N2.
- monocasa 4y agoI think you're thinking of N3. M2 is still on N5.
- alberth 4y ago> M2 is still on N5 That's my point. M2 was intended to be on N3, IIRC.
- monocasa 4y agoBut N2 being pushed back is orthogonal to N3. It's a full node.
- alberth 4y agoHow is it orthogonal? If N3 gets pushed, it'll inevitably also them push N2 as a result.
- Dylan16807 4y agoI would say it's neither orthogonal nor inevitable. But either way, N2 was never scheduled for 2022.

- gruez 4y agoThe first sentence of TFA says n2 was announced “earlier this month” (in 2022), so it must be mistaken memory or you were reading unreliable rumors.
