Jeff Geerling Is Sick
- FloatArtifact 4y agoHope you feel better, Jeff! I appreciated your sense of humor and transparency. It goes a long way for those going through a rocky road in their life. Keep being amazing! And hey if I get to join in the awesomeness through one of your videos as you health allows it's a bonus!
- InTheArena 4y agoJeff's been a great member of this site, so I thought I would at least post a call out - maybe do something for our resident Pi Master, instead of just noticing he hasn't been around. Get better soon!
- qwertox 4y agoJeff is the greatest guy on YouTube. Honest, humble, knowledgeable and with a non-exaggerated but good sense of humor. I wish him all the best and really hope he recovers so that he can live a normal life.
- Centigonal 4y agoCrohn's is punishing. I hope Geerling's condition stops flaring up soon so he can get back to his life -- and I hope we can one day truly understand the pathology of IBDs so we can do something more effective to treat them.
- ilaksh 4y agoI thought the video said they removed his colon? Wouldn't that pretty much make flare ups physically impossible?
- geerlingguy 4y agoUnfortunately with Crohn's disease it can pop up anywhere in the Gi tract (including even my mouth, which I found out last year when I got to puzzle my dentist and an ENT with some weird tongue, lip, and gum inflammation!). Ulcerative Colitis, a close relative to Crohn's, is generally vanquished once you remove the large intestine.
- 2OEH8eoCRo0 4y agoSince he is active here: Feel better Jeff! Your content sparks joy!
- geerlingguy 4y agoThank you so much. The outpouring of support has been amazing, and I am doing much better, though still spending much of this week bouncing between testing locations and doctors offices, and trying to rest when possible. I did have the energy to go to an indoor family event yesterday and that helped a ton. Hopefully I can get back to my work next week! But health / family comes first!
