- smcl 4y ago"Leave" is a word for holiday/vacation in UK English. So you'd have a yearly allocation of (say) 25 days of leave/holiday/vacation that is consumed through the year (by going on holiday), then on or shortly after New Year it would be "reset" back to 25.
