Not that it should matter what other articles are on the site -- attacking an argument based on where it's printed is an ad hominem -- but this is Bari Weiss' Substack.
Weiss was a writer for the WSJ, NY Times, and others, and left to start this Substack, as well as the podcast Honestly. And not that it should matter -- again, since she didn't write this -- but she is neither left, nor right. The whole raison d'être for Common Sense is to write about issues from non-canonical angles that other platforms aren't touching.

The people who actually wrote the piece are Marty Makary and Tracy Beth Høeg. Makary is a professor of public health at Johns Hopkins, a practicing surgeon, a long-time advocate for evidence-based medicine:

Hōeg is a physician with a PhD in public health:

Both are well-qualified to comment on this issue, and if your only counterargument is that you don't like where it's printed, then we're in a fine place, because I don't see anyone on the left or the right talking about it.

- epgui 4y agoIt's a perfectly reasonable heuristic to be wary/skeptical of sources with very bad track records. Nobody is trying to make a logical argument that the article is bad because of where it is published.
