What's the deal with the machines having to start up in order? How did that come about?
- mobilene 4y agoMemories grow dim after 33 years - I don't remember. It do remember that it didn't totally make sense to me at the time.
- Clubber 4y agoI would guess they are dependencies. For example you would want to start the database server before you started the application. If the application started with no databases, it would do some funky things and may end up in a weird state.
