This is a ridiculous, fearmongering article. The Waymo truck was driving in autonomous mode, with a safety driver and software operator, when another semi crashed into it (“entered its lane”) and forced it off the road. The driver suffered moderate injuries.
- MBCook 4y agoI didn’t read any fearmongering. It seemed to lay out the accident and the facts pretty simply. Heck a large part of the article wasn’t even about those involved but the fact that police don’t seem ready or trained for the fact autonomous vehicles are operating on their roads. But that’s a failure of local government not the industry.
