No, it is not considered abortifacient, that is just unfounded propaganda from religious extremists.
Mayo clinic on the subject:
> Plan B One-Step is a type of morning-after pill that can be used after unprotected sex to prevent pregnancy. Plan B One-Step contains the hormone levonorgestrel — a progestin — which can prevent ovulation, block fertilization or keep a fertilized egg from implanting in the uterus.

- no-dr-onboard 4y agoSeems a bit harsh to call anyone who holds it to be an abortifacient a “religious extremist”. A quick google of the question would show you that it’s a contended definition.
- SkeuomorphicBee 4y agoMy quick Google only returned religious sources supporting that contended definition, no mention in medical sources.
- josephcsible 4y agoDo you disagree with Mayo Clinic that it can "keep a fertilized egg from implanting in the uterus", or do you disagree that doing that constitutes an abortion?
- wiml 4y agoThe latter, presumably. An unimplanted egg isn't usually considered a pregnancy except by religious extremists.
