Covid vaccine injury plaintiffs face long odds in U.S. compensation program
- codefreeordie 4y agoFirst they mandate you take their mostly-untested medical treatment on pain of basically imprisonment, and then when it ruins your life because it wasn't "safe and effective" after all, you're not allowed access to the legal system for recompense.
- anonygler 4y agoIf you call attention to this, you’ll be deplatformed and have your existence scrubbed. Internet activists who think you’re from the opposition party will target your employer and make you unemployable. Inject yourself with this novel pharmaceutical if you want to feed your family. Absolutely insane. All for a virus that… what? Devastated the Alzheimer’s community? With an avg age of death above your life expectancy?
- codefreeordie 4y ago"safe and effective", friend. Always remember. "Safe and effective"
- dang 4y agoCould you please stop posting unsubstantive and/or flamebait comments, and using HN for ideological battle? You've unfortunately been doing those things repeatedly. It's not what this site is for, and it destroys what it is for. If you wouldn't mind reviewing https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html and taking the intended spirit of the site more to heart, we'd be grateful.
- __m 4y agoWhere was it mandated?
- MuchoMaas 4y agoMandated to keep your job if you worked at a company that implemented Biden's rule for firms with >100 employees. Mandated to go to public places including museums and schools in many large cities. Mandated for many workers in healthcare and police forces. Mandated (including boosters!) for students to continue attending colleges where they had been enrolled for years. Many people lost their jobs to oppose and help end these mandates (which, incidentally, did essentially zero to combat the spread of Covid), and now a lot of people want to pretend the whole thing never happened because they just don't want to take the L, and admit that they supported some pretty heinous stuff in a moment of media-driven panic and scapegoating.
- yucky 4y agoMost of the largest employers in the US mandated it.
- codefreeordie 4y agoIt was mandated to: * Travel away from your home * Eat at a restaurant * Work at a job * Attend any gathering of people outside your house * Obtain medical care * Attend a school

- CogitoCogito 4y agoNot sure what you’re basing your claim on, but the vaccines have been tested and studied quite a lot.
- yucky 4y agoNot the person you are replying to, but I believe they're referring to how the FDA approval letter for the vaccine indicates long term testing won't be completed until June 2025. https://www.fda.gov/media/151710/download https://www.fda.gov/media/151710/download
- codefreeordie 4y agoThey were clearly not adequately tested, given the number of problems and new findings that have come out after we finished our program of mandatory injection. A year ago, they were perfectly safe, 95% effective at preventing infection, and 100% effective against severe illness. Now, we know that they cause a host of serious long-term health problems, are effective only for a couple of months, produce no sterilizing immunity, barely reduce rates of infection, do virtually nothing to reduce spread, cause increasing damage to the immune system with repeated injection, but do actually produce lower rates of severe illness and death. Unfortunately, though, we created a vaccine mandate and passport system long before figuring any of that out.
