To be fair, there’s a very good chance that a Tesla in a junkyard has been in an accident. I can’t really see any other reason it would be there.

- natch 4y agoThe article did say it had been in an accident.

I can’t really see any other reason it would be there. To be fair, there’s a very good chance that someone who defends its privacy has something to hide. I can’t really see any other reason it would do that. To be fair, there’s a very good chance that the money you're carrying in your backpack was stolen. I can’t really see any other reason it would be there.
- fortyseven 4y agoWhat the fuck is the point of this?
- bergenty 4y agoLiterally none of these work as analogs. Why else would a Tesla be in a junkyard?
- moralestapia 4y agoMany cars are there because they just simply stopped working, they were abandoned, impounded, stolen and recovered (but never claimed back), sold as junk, ... There's PLENTY of reasons why a car could end up in a junkyard.
- cwillu 4y agoThey only fail as analogues because you don't realize that a self-driving Tesla is sentient. It says something about the state of junkyards that a self-driving car would choose suicide rather than continue to exist in one.
