I'm in my 40's and my entire life I've had between 0-2 minor illness every year. Mostly mild head colds. I wonder if I was to adopt a rigid routine of taking extra precautions (like closing toilet lids, more diligent hand washing, using paper towels on bathroom door handles, etc) if I would ever notice a change in that pattern.
Or, is the idea that these extra precautions potentially protect against a more serious illness that might actually concern me?
Either way, my current method of existing in the world seems to result in very few acute health issues, so it's hard to be motivated to change.
