- imtringued 4y agoBecause cutting regulations would require some uncomfortable changes. You would have to tax land and excess liquidity. Nobody wants that. Land ownership redistributes wealth to landowners. Withholding liquidity from the market causes economic downturns and speculative activity. If you solved those two things a lot of politics would become redundant.
