Isn't part of the reason people are spending on iPhone that they can signal wealth to friends? From what I remember Apple always sells more when then introduce new golden colors so people can show they have the new device.
- amelius 4y agoInside VR you can have a phone with diamonds for no extra $. Thinking about it, those diamond-lacking iPhones look quite shabby, already!
- tjr225 4y agoHave you ever been in the Apple ecosystem? Its not perfect but it beats anything else as far as UX is concerned.
- kmonsen 4y agoI have an iPhone and I like it. I have little need to update it even though it is almost 3 years old. I also agree it is far from perfect but pretty good. Used to be on android but it was easier to use the same devices as my wife.
- bee_rider 4y agoI have never seen a gold iPhone in real life, even though more than half of my friends/family have iPhones. IIRC they did better overseas(?). Not sure. I don't think iPhones signal much (in the US at least) -- they have like 50% market share here.
