Nice. Is this ERC1155? Are cubes non-fungible or fungible? Why be non fungible, the attributes? And also wondering what's your email? I'm building some NFT devops tools.
Also, what's the gas cost to change/set an attribute? (seems to me primary probably blocker if it's high)
- esherr 4y agoIt's ERC721, and cubes are non-fungible. I made it so the contract token ID corresponds to the cube ID directly, as a little nice-to-have (it was really just a big pet peeve when it wasn't). That's a really good question: not once did I consider that cubes could be fungible; I'd always assumed that they'd have the intrinsic property of a (x,y,z) location tied to their ID. I'm reachable at esher@projectcube.io :)
- esherr 4y agoYeah gas is high. I actually made the entire project on an unknown network called Zilliqa, but ported over last minute and was slapped in the face by the gas... That's the thing, the attributes are immutable (mostly) :)
- ilaksh 4y agoHave you looked into Algorand?
- davidajackson 4y agoNot OP but https://forum.algorand.org/t/what-was-the-rationale-around-not-being-evm-compatible/3932 https://forum.algorand.org/t/what-was-the-rationale-around-n... has always been my concern.
- ilaksh 4y agoThere is not really much point in making more EVM compatible cryptocurrencies. It's kinda of like if it were 1980 and everyone stopped making any computers that went beyond what CP/M needed. Or if they said look, we aren't making any new CPUs because 6502 is all anyone needs.
