Am I the only one who actually finds it faster to type a password than to remove my hand from the keyboard and perform Touch ID auth?
- yallneedtogetit 4y agoyour password is too short
- zwog 4y agoNope. The only reason I work on a terminal is that I never have to take my hand off the keyboard.
- nicoburns 4y agoBut the touch ID sensor is on the keyboard!
- imron 4y agoBut unless you’ve set it to be the little finger on your right hand, you have to take your fingers off the home keys to activate it
- jeroenhd 4y agoI'm no mac user so I can't test it myself, but does this mean you can't associate multiple fingerprints with one identity on macOS?
- nicoburns 4y agoYou can associate up to 3
- jeroenhd 4y agoAh, okay, that's good. I suppose associating other fingers is not really that big of a problem in practice, then.
- imron 4y agoYou can, you just won't be able to hit the fingerprint reader without taking your fingers off the home keys, except for the little finger on your right hand (giant monster hands excluded).
- oneeyedpigeon 4y agoThanks for the info. There were infinite possible combinations that your password could've been before this comment; it's a lot less now...
