  There is a job market for felons with skills. Probably not this guy, given what he ran, but others like Kevin Mitnick served 5 years and was successfully afterwards.   You would be very surprised how much the upper realms of banking likes financial crime felons. The Federal prisons are full of them, and they go right back to the industry.
