Chinese Communists telling US that Taiwan Strait not international waters
- codevark 4y ago
- johnny22 4y agoyou didn't need to change the headline like that...
- 737min 4y agoIt seemed like a fair summary to fit, what bothers you? “ Chinese military officials in recent months have repeatedly asserted that the Taiwan Strait isn’t international waters during meetings with US counterparts..”
- liketochill 4y agoOn hacker news the custom is to keep the identical headline of the article, unless it is confusing
- 737min 4y agoIdentical was too long, so editing happened but ok
- liketochill 4y agoI imagine in the future the west will have less reliance on China due to the current differences on Taiwan, Hong Kong, and human rights. Businesses will evaluate the risk of their dependencies on China and source or develop alternatives. The supply chain issues we have at the moment have demonstrated what a delicate house of cards the world economy is. Put me down as pessimistic in the short term until people in charge now learn the same lessons that the boomers got from their parents who lived through world wars.
- 737min 4y agoExactly. History is a harsh but wise teacher.
- darthrupert 4y agoIsn't the boomer generation responsible for outsourcing everything to outside of the western influence? Seems like they were in charge when first of those decisions were made. Granted, the following generations didn't fix it either.
- hatenberg 4y agoIt is clear boomers learned shit. See Germany trying to play sides on Ukraine
- olliej 4y agoNo need to gratuitously edit the title like that. Seriously. I'm flagging for the vastly excessive title editing.
- 737min 4y agoOriginal too long
- midislack 4y agoLet's be fair, the Chinese are actually now fascists.
