There is nothing preventing you from installing an alternate OS on AppleSilicon Macs. Apple supports this officially via something called Apple Secure MultiBoot.

- solarkraft 4y agoIt's usable (like right now) and certainly will be when Apple drops macOS support for it.
- smoldesu 4y agoThis was not an option until MacOS 12.2, and AFAIK is not "officially supported" or even documented by Apple. Can you link to somewhere where they describe supporting this?
