Realistically how hard is it to just wing it? Like say I book one long trek to start - can I just wing it as I go along or is it a much better idea to plan the whole thing out train by train beforehand?
- bombcar 4y agoDepends on what you're willing to do - the worst case scenario may be getting stuck in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere for a day or two waiting for the next train. But they do have the rail pass: https://www.amtrak.com/tickets/departure-rail-pass.html https://www.amtrak.com/tickets/departure-rail-pass.html $500 for ten segments over a month, isn't bad.
