I wondered about that too, but I see that it does come with a bracket that covers the wall if you need it.

- joezydeco 15y agoThat plate looks way too small and square to cover up the holes left by most rectangular thermostats. Look at 0:12 in the intro video, you can see the mounting holes for the "old" device. Interesting that the holes are painted white and have no screws in them.
