- fortran77 4y agoYes. This verge piece is not a good take. I can't imagine any comment along these lines that would be appropriate. Silence is sometimes the best way of showing sympathy.
- rvz 4y agoWell at this point, The Verge should be regarded as a very questionable source similar to that of the Daily Mail since the quality of its article(s) especially the ones locked without comments have somewhat degraded. As for this article, In reality nothing has changed. This is what the shooter actually wants. For the foolish media to keep talking about him and find someone to blame rather than prevent it. Instead, they continue to use the actions of this village idiot for their own media outrage clicks and spin to find a villain of the month to blame. Somehow that 'villain of the month' is Musk.
- version_five 4y agoThe Verge and Ars Technica, which I thought of as essentially tech oriented publications, have turned into highly political, partisan blogs, which basically removes the point of them. Maybe I never understood their aim? TechCrunch, despite it's flaws, at least seems like it's mostly actually about tech
- MBCook 4y agoIt seems like a reasonable question to me. Elon has his ideas of how he wants to moderate Twitter. Things like this happen (sadly). How does he intend to moderate them? He has been talking an awful lot about what he thinks. And then as soon as this happens he stops talking. That says something. He could have easily said “stuff like that won’t be allowed“. And there would be no story.
