Hawley introduces bill to strip Disney of special copyright protections
- freemint 4y agoI see two outcomes. Either the moonshot happens possibly with far left support or the idea is burnt for a few years. Cutting it to 56 years would release a lot of stuff. I am not sure in how far the USoA could even do that as there are international treaties about copyright length.

- 0cVlTeIATBs 4y agoIt's tiresome seeing such a pointed motive behind copyright reform but nonetheless I wish him all the luck. The force for making copyright terms longer and longer is money. The opposite force is those pushing for public good (basically voiceless). I praise any and all movements to revert term lengths to something closer to the 14 years we originally had. The current life of the author plus 95 years is outrageous.
