AMD CEO Lisa Su says chipmaker has reached a 'significant inflection point'
- ncr100 4y agoWhat is the significance of AMD acquiring Xilinx?
- ganoushoreilly 4y agoTighter integrations in the server market.
- ncr100 4y agoThank you.
- daniel-cussen 4y agoWinning spree shopping spree. EDIT: and there's awesome tech they could make together, all kinds of intelligent things. I really like both companies. That is rare, it's a list of less than ten Fortune 500 companies I consider virtuous. These companies really pushing the boundaries of that moral context to the point I think they're good in absolute terms too, not just relative to most the Fortune 500. It's hard, in Biblical terms it amounts to being a servant with two masters, both good and money. But an exceptional servant might juggle two masters, that's how I see these companies. AMD is on that list...Xilinx farther down, it only makes the cut now that's it's a division of AMD.
- clove 4y agoWhat's your top 10 companies?
- daniel-cussen 4y agoLike...Starbucks (because I protected them from a racket), Wallgreens, AMD now that we're talking about them...Whom else...I don't know, I was wrong to say there was a top 10, it's not that many even. Maybe there's 5. Tesla. Spacex.
- clove 4y agoThanks. Just bought all those companies' stocks, except for Spacex.
- daniel-cussen 4y agoI didn't recommend them like that, but I guess you could vote with your money. Yeah Spacex, basically if you want to invest in Spacex you have to buy Tesla stock. In light of which, is Tesla overpriced? I don't know if it is. Everyone says that. I told a friend who was shorting it saying it was overpriced at $800 billion, telling him, nah. Let that unicorn go. It's a big number (if you're not a mathematician) but bad move to short them.
