- philjohn 4y agoUK citizen here - yeah, it's supper annoying. It's to verify you're over 18 as that's the age at which you can obtain a credit card. You can though ring the mobile phone provider and tell them to turn off the block - and we can blame our conservative government for pushing this through (and looking to go even further in the future).
