But it did stink.

- refulgentis 5y agoIt sunk. It sunk in each and everyone's narrative. There's no one claiming it's still being towed or above surface or anywhere above the ocean floor.
- quantified 5y agoI think everyone agrees!
- refulgentis 5y agoWhat's up with the comments? We don't get it. My only guess is you're claiming "sunken" is a verb that requires an actively chosen affirmative action to put the ship at the bottom?
- ejstronge 5y agoYou missed the relevant portion of the article, just before your quote: > the Russian Ministry of Defense, confirmed for the first time that the Moskva had sunk, the warship apparently foundering in poor weather while attempts were being made to tow it back to port.
- quantified 5y agoI did the first time, that’s why I called it out in the reply.
- dralley 5y agoAt no point did you actually call out that yes, the ship had sunk. Your reply did not do this. It very much sounded like you were arguing that fact.
- in_cahoots 5y agoFoundered means sunk. I think this is an instance of miscommunication on both sides.
