Vanguard Becomes Twitter's Largest Shareholder Ahead of Elon
- cft 5y agoKind of unfair really, they can get free unlimited currency via the Federal Reserve, Musk does not have the luxury
- vba616 5y agoHow does Vanguard, as a mutual fund company, get "free unlimited currency"?
- incomingpain 5y agoVanguard themselves don't have a vote. It's proxy vote through those who actually own it. Most people don't vote, and even if they did? Probably would end up siding with Musk. Twitter wasn't defended, it seems they wanted out of the game or they cashed out a little too much? I would be surprised if it doesn't work. Assuming Elon does what he says, that this is about free speech. This is going to be fantastic for human society. This might arguably end up being the thing that brings society together talking again to each other. Providing for tremendous benefits.
