- frequent 4y agoto be precise, public funding is based on the results of the upcoming legislative (national assembly) elections. France has 577 districts, each elect on representative in two rounds. Parties receive about 40k€/year for every elected representative and another ~1.40€/vote/year for every vote in these elections provided (!) you make more than 1% in at least 50 districts. These amounts get reduced considerably if you do not respect gender-parity across your candidates.
