This area of censorship is interesting. Financial licences have been revoked for 10 years from Richard Pausey, a man who filmed police officers dying, and another man who recently illegally jumped borders to see a sport grand final. Both people are of bad character and deserve to be slammed by the courts, but I’m unsure where I stand on ripping their livelihoods away from them.
Sure they’re supposed to be ‘trusted’, but it’s not like the rest of the industry isn’t coked-up bros and $female_bro_equivalents.
Similarly, controlling financial advice is probably for the best in some cases, but should people introducing basic concepts really be censored?
I know multiple people who wish financial literacy was a subject in school, so maybe influencers are indirectly filling that gap.
