Atheism is the belief in the absence of God. Agnosticism is an admission of lack of knowledge of God existence, neither affirmed nor denied. Thus, claiming they are the same is false equivalence.
- orwin 5y agoIf you reason logically from an agnostic position, you are effectively atheist until proven otherwise. That's probably the correct stance, as you don't really need any gods to live your life nowadays, and pondering upon his existence, while fun, does not serve any point.
- Maursault 5y agoAgnosticism is not atheism, atheism is not agnosticism. The notion is absurd. False equivalence.
