Wait -- technology has robbed us of the ability to make doodles for each other?
How? If anything, digital art and memes are both responsible for an explosion of people sending personal, visual creations to each other.
- cyberpunk 5y agoSo, question: does receiving an e-card by email feel the same to you as receiving a paper card?
- patman 5y agoIf the same thought and effort was put into it then yes.
- rad_gruchalski 5y agoWhy not send that paper card instead of an e-card?
- ghostbrainalpha 5y agoIt's not that digital art isn't fantastic. But it doesn't happen "by accident" in the same way that doodling does when you are required to carry pen and paper with you for almost every task. Maybe someday someone will make a cool doodle-browser plugin, so I can scribble in the margins of the webpages I am reading throughout the day.
- ketzo 5y agoInteresting, okay, that makes sense to me.
- api 5y agoIt's more accurate to say that technology competes for our time against things like doodling.
