It has also been improved recently and can be trained in seconds: https://nvlabs.github.io/instant-ngp/ https://nvlabs.github.io/instant-ngp/ Being able to train and infer in real time is a big deal for computer graphics applications! Check out the "Real-time training progress on eight synthetic NeRF datsets" figure in the page I linked.
