Because each one of those events happened under a unique set of circumstances and succeeded because of different reasons. I'd also like to add that those nations were not emerging superpowers with vast amounts of resources and manpower. They are also not the worlds most populous country and third largest nation by landmass. I don't think anyone knows what it would actually take, to "figure out a way".

- seanmcdirmid 5y agoMost of the Chinese I know can't even fathom opposing their government, like the act of being against or anti Xi is illegal in itself. I guess that is how the CPC maintain its 110% approval rating.
