What Ukraine war news looks like from Russia
- deleted 5y ago[deleted]
- s1artibartfast 5y agoThe Russian propaganda machine is certainly dialed up to 11. I just hope people can reflect on some of these statements and where we have heard them before and think about this when we hear them in the future. unconfirmed guesswork is equal to facts, while facts are inherently subjective. Across all networks, Ukraine's fighters are "terrorists" and "rebels," NATO is Ukraine's "overseas master" and Russian rockets strike only military targets, while Ukrainian troops use hospitals and residential buildings for cover. "All the experts say we're using our aircraft with great accuracy and our artillery with precision,"
- CrzyLngPwd 5y agoSeems to be a pandemic of turning propaganda machines up to 11. I don't know if it is a change in the news or my awareness but news websites feel increasingly like opinion blogs than something that might inform.
- etotolkoya 5y agosorry, what is wrong with NATO as "masters"? it is the truth: you orchestrated the coup in 2014, you are responsible for the war in Donbass since then (ukraine did not implement Minsk agrrements encouraged by you), and without your arms, sanctions and intelligence, and worldwide antirussian propaganda ukraine would not last. Ukraine is not an independent state, though certainly this is what you would like its people to think (the truth is, of course, that you want to get Russia to bleed, the rest is hypocrisy).
- s1artibartfast 5y agoI think you are taking this up with the wrong person. I largely oppose eastward expansion of NATO and prefer Ukraine become an independent and neutral state, to the degree that the west has input on the issue.
