- belorn 5y agoThis is why nuclear does not compete with renewables during optimal weather conditions. Nuclear compete with fossil fuels when demand exceeds that of what renewables can produces, usually during periods of non-optimal weather conditions. Right now the price on the energy market is determined by fossil fuel and Russia is using this fact in order to fund their military invasion. Any period where renewable productions dips below demand is an opportunity to extract money from EU into that invasion.
