No shame, they don't even hide their racism.
Where's the outcry.
- throwaway4good 5y agoThe outcry is right here, obviously,
- bitcharmer 5y agoYou will see no outcry in the media because that would be antisemitism. I hate 21st century
- moltke 5y agoI don't know if you've noticed but it's usually very difficult to criticize Israel outside of the darker corners of the internet.
- themaninthedark 5y agoI would not call HN a darker corner of the internet...
- moltke 5y agoThis thread is why I said "usually."
- denton-scratch 5y agoThis thread surprised me; I thought politics was off-topic on HN, at least for root articles - it seems to be OK in comments, as long as people don't get too angry.
- Banana699 5y agoAnd even so, it's relatively minor and much less mainstream as social forums go.
- waffleiron 5y agoIt's flagged and gone, so I think the point stands.
- slothtrop 5y agoCriticizing Israel is mainstream. Only the newsmedia machine likes to shy from it.
- vehemenz 5y agoCompared to what though? Reading some of the responses here, virtually no one has mentioned the fact that Israel's middle eastern neighbors, and more broadly, most of the Muslim world, are also oppressive ethnostates that treat Jews significantly worse. They don't need laws on the books to mistreat Jews, and we all know why. e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Jews_in_Syria#21st_century https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Jews_in_Syria#21st_...
