Bungie rejects Steam Deck’s Linux, threatens to ban Destiny 2 players there
- andrew-ld 5y agoDestiny 2 is not supported for play on the Steam Deck or on any system utilizing Steam Play’s Proton unless Windows is installed and running. Players who attempt to launch Destiny 2 on the Steam Deck through SteamOS or Proton will be unable to enter the game and will be returned to their game library after a short time. Players who attempt to bypass Destiny 2 incompatibility will be met with a game ban.
- raxxorrax 5y agoI think steam should react and remove Bungie games from the store. Leave it on minimal support for people that bought it and offer them better games from better studios.
- jrepinc 5y agoWait a minute. If I remember correctly, Destiny 2 is available on Stadia, and Stadia requires a GNU/Linux native binary. So if I got this right then it should be almost no effort to make Destiny 2 support Steam Deck which also runs GNU/Linux. This sounds like Bungie are just full of crap.
