Russia is trying to build its own great firewall
- jqpabc123 5y agoRussia is a sinister lost cause that the world (and the web) would be better off without. What are the products that Russia exports? Vodka, fossil fuels, crime, weapons, doped Olympic athletes. All stuff that the world would be better off without. As long as this firewall works both ways in order to contain their hackers, I say go for it. Do the world a favor and isolate yourselves.
- bitxbitxbitcoin 5y agoHard disagree. Isolationism doesn’t do the world any favors - it just breeds provincial viewpoints like so.
- jqpabc123 5y agoIsolationism doesn’t do the world any favors So criminals like Putin should never be isolated? Ukraine would likely disagree. And this is something they/Putin are proposing to self inflict. Provincial counterpoint?

- jqpabc123 5y agoIf Russia invades Ukraine, I wouldn't be so sure. As if the risks of dealing with the Russian mafia wasn't already obvious enough.
