Regarding the dropping of the user agent string, are folk not concerned that it would lead to future web development coalescing towards a Chrome "world view"?
- brutal_chaos_ 5y agoDevelopment seems to be moving in that direction already (see market share per browser and the number of "Chrome only" sites). How would removing UAs continue or hinder that trend?
- mutatio 5y agoI just wonder if it would lead to further cementing the Chrome-first approach to web dev - in the context of browser sniffing in JS libs and even backend code. I guess this doesn't drop support for JavaScript navigator properties so maybe JS is fine.
